Elementary Education

Programs approved by the Ministry of Education and Sciences (MEC) are developed based on the Bilingual Basic Education Curriculum Design, which aligns with the competencies established nationally in the Basic Education Plan. Students have the opportunity to develop critical, reflective, and creative thinking in all areas through reading and writing.

These programs provide opportunities for problem analysis and resolution, particularly in mathematics and sciences, through the application of concepts in the real world. Various skills are promoted, such as drawing conclusions, predicting events, identifying story elements, summarizing literature, thereby enriching vocabulary, spelling, phonetics, and grammatical concepts.

The writing area is reinforced through guided activities and the use of academic models, creating purposeful writing for a specific audience.

Paraguayan and American cultures are integrated significantly, creatively, and memorably within the program for all grades.

FIRST CYCLE

FIRST, SECOND & THIRD GRADE

PRIMERO, SEGUNDO Y TERCER GRADO

The programs are developed based on the Bilingual Basic Education Curriculum Design, which aligns with the competencies established at the national level in the Basic Education Plan of the Ministry of Education and Sciences.

At these grade levels, students are expected to develop their literacy skills to achieve fluency in reading brief, contextually relevant texts with simple vocabulary. Additionally, they are expected to understand meaningful everyday messages they hear and read, and to express themselves both orally and in writing.

Regarding the English area, the program provides an instructional system where students have the opportunity to work with various types of literary texts to acquire fundamental skills and develop proficiency in speaking, writing, and listening comprehension through phonological awareness exercises.

Children begin with the first steps of research through meaningful experiments. In mathematics, children are introduced to a wide range of strategies and examples to develop basic operations.

Paraguayan and American cultures are integrated significantly, creatively, and memorably within the program for all grades.

SECOND CYCLE

FOURTH, FIFTH & SIXTH GRADE

CUARTO, QUINTO Y SEXTO GRADO

Students acquire new vocabulary, reinforcing their comprehension skills and understanding of grammatical content and various types of paragraphs. They conduct thorough text analyses, exploring Paraguayan and American cultures.

They continue to develop research processes such as hypothesis formulation, observations, and deductions in an exhaustive and meaningful way, arriving at valid conclusions to interpret different realities. Students are encouraged to keep consolidating their problem-solving abilities and integrating information from various texts about Paraguayan and American cultures.

THIRD CYCLE

SEVENTH, EIGTH & NINTH GRADE

SÉPTIMO, OCTAVO Y NOVENO GRADO

The programs are developed based on the Bilingual Basic Education Curriculum Design, which aligns with the competencies established at the national level in the Basic Education Plan of the Ministry of Education and Sciences.

Students develop critical, reflective, and creative thinking in all areas through reading and writing different types of texts, strengthening and acquiring the necessary academic vocabulary, as well as specific knowledge and terminology in all areas.

Students are encouraged to keep consolidating their problem-solving abilities and integrating information from various texts about Paraguayan and American cultures. Additionally, they have the opportunity to reinforce research processes in an exhaustive and meaningful way, developing other cognitive skills necessary for academic and everyday life.
